Art Deco Collection

This collection is inspired by the Art Deco movement, which originated in Paris in the 1920s, declined during the late 1930s/ early 1940s and was revived during the 1960s.

The collection grew out of a request from one of Findi Flooshki’s first clients. The artist’s research into the decorative elements represented by Art Deco continues to inspire one-of-a-kind designs with symbolic meaning.

The ever-popular collection is defined by the same eclecticism that defined the movement. It draws colour and design inspiration from graphic design, furniture, fashion, architecture and technology.

In particular the collection plays with feminine, floral and bird themes; expresses mathematical symmetry and geometry; highlights Greco-Roman antiquities and ancient Egypt; and touches on the then popular interest in machinery and transport on land, at sea and in the air.

The aim of the collection is to deliver the elegance, glamour, functionality and modernity that are represented by the Art Deco movement.
